The Project leader is concerned with the project management, such as budget, schedule, resource planning, external contacts, team motivation. S/he is responsible for process (gate model) observance. S/he contributes to system analysis and architecture. Occasionally, s/he may also design, implement, and test subsystems. A project leader will only run one major project at a time. Job Description You will be assigned to an experienced IT designer, develop a conceptual overview of an IT platform, participate in Architecture Review Workshops of other projects and develop common design methodology based on UML. You will work independently, using a great deal of initiative, in a friendly research-oriented environment where continuous training and professional development are given high priority. You will collaborate with domain experts and researchers to apply the newest software technologies and research results to industrial and commercial applications. The development of prototypes, know-how transfer to Advanced AT business units and the search for new, innovative solutions to solve real-world problems are further key activities

Skill Sets We seek candidates who have a PhD in CS, MSc and 5-10 years of professional experience. A strong background in software engineering, project experience, and the willingness to learn and approach new challenges will ease your integration in our highly skilled and motivated team. Good oral and written communication skills in English are necessary. We seek leaders who have experience with OO, component-based software development and testing, technical software project management, UML, and middleware technologies.

Career Path You will manage the development of prototypes and pilots that will be used for customer evaluation before full-scale product development. This position will allow you to develop the skills needed to manage larger software development projects in geographically distributed environments with several roles involved.
